Kenya Subsidiary Legislation, 1999 - 3505 THE FORESTS ACT (Cap. 385) IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Forests Act, the Minister for Environment makes the following Rules:- THE FORESTS (SUSPENSION OF TIMBER HARVESTING AND STONE QUARRYING) RULES, 1999 1. These Rules may be cited as the Forests (Suspension of Timber Harvesting and Quarrying) Rules, 1999. 2. The carrying- out of the activities specified in the first column of the Schedule in the forest areas specified in the second column is suspended. 3. No person or vehicle shall enter or remain in the forest areas specified in the Schedule for the purpose of engaging in any activity the carrying out of which is suspended under these Rules. 4. Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of these Rules shall be guilty of an offence. 5.
