In these regulations-“effluent”means water sullied or contaminated by any matter, in solution or suspensionand derived from the use of the water in connection with domestic, industrialor other activities. 3. (1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), the nationalenvironmental standards in relation to effluent limitation for use inirrigation shall be as set out in the Schedule.(2)Paragraph (1) shall not apply to any effluent, which is produced from any sugarmanufacturing processes.
