Composition of offences 2.—(1) Any of the offences specified in the Schedule may be compounded for a sum not exceeding $2,000. (2) The offence punishable under section 24 (5) of the Act (opposing or obstructing detention of a ship) may be compounded for a sum not exceeding $500.
