The purpose of this Law is to lay down the provisions relating to the classification, packaging, labelling, notification of new chemical substances and risk assessment, to establish restrictions on the placing on the market or use of certain chemical substances and preparations, also the rights and duties of the producers, importers and other legal and natural persons as well as enterprises without the rights of a legal person which place on the market or otherwise handle chemical substances and preparations. 2. The objective of the Law is to protect human health and the environment from potential risks which could arise from the intrinsic properties of chemical substances and preparations. Article 2.
