This Act may be cited as the Plant Protection(Amendment) Act, 2001.EnactmentShort title[L.S.]2. In this Act, “the Act” means the Plant ProtectionAct, 1975.3. Section 2 of the Act is amended—(a) by inserting in the appropriate alphabeticalsequence, the following definitions:“land” includes plantation andnursery;“notifiable disease” or “notifiable pest”means any disease or pest whichthe Minister may, by Order, fromtime to time, declare to be anotifiable disease or notifiablepest within the meaning of thisAct;“nursery” means any land or placewhere plants are grown or keptfor sale, distribution orreplanting;“occupier” in relation to any la...
