S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2009 No. 3020 PLANT HEALTH The Plant Health (Forestry) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2009 Made - - - - 9th November 2009 Laid before Parliament 16th November 2009 Coming into force - - 21st December 2009 The Forestry Commissioners make this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(1) and 3(1) of the Plant Health Act 1967(a) and paragraph 1A of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972(b). This Order makes provision for a purpose mentioned in section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 and it appears to the Forestry Commissioners that it is expedient for the references in the following Order to Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or plant products and against their spread within the Community(c) to be construed as references to that instrument as amended from time to time.
