ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON THE ENVIRONMENT REGULATIONS 1996ACCESSTO INFORMATION ON THE ENVIRONMENT REGULATIONS 1996 The Minister for the Environment, inexercise of the powersconferred on him by sections 6 of theEnvironmental ProtectionAgency Act, 1992 (No. 7 of 1992) andfollowing consultation withevery other Minister of the Government,hereby makes the followingRegulations:— REG 1 Citation.1. These Regulations may be cited as theAccess to Information on the Environment Regulations, 1996. REG 2 Commencement.2. These Regulations shall come into operationon the 22nd day ofJuly, 1996. REG 3 Revocation and Transitional Provisions.3. (1) The Access to Information on theEnvironment Regulations, 1993 (S.I. No. 133 of 1933) are hereby revoked.(2) Notwithstanding the revocation effectedby sub-article (1) thesaid Regulations shall continue to apply toany request forinformation made pursuant to thoseRegulations prior to the 1st dayof May, 1996.
