P H I MAKGOE Member of the Executive Council: Environmental Affairs and Tourism. 1 Definitions In these regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act, shall have the meaning so assigned to it and, unless the context otherwise indicates- "ambient sound level" means the reading on an integrating impulse sound level meter taken at a measuring point in the absence of any alleged disturbing noise at the end of a total period of at least 10 minutes after such meter was put into operation; "animal" also means birds and poultry; "controlled area" means a piece of land designated b...
