In these regulations - "Act "means the Environment Protection Act 1991; "condenser wastewater" means effluent originatingfrom a factory condenser; “factory” means a sugar factory; "influentraw water" means water diverted from a river, stream, spring or canal,or water abstracted from underground and used by a factory; "other factorywastewater" means effluent originating from the washing, generalmaintenance and workshops of a factory.3.
