WHEREAS it is expedient to amend and consolidate the law relating to the regulation and inspection of mines; It is hereby enacted as follows:- CHAPTER IPRELIMINARY Short title, extent and commencement 1.(1) This Act may be called the Mines Act, 1923.(2) It extends to the whole of Bangladesh.(3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1924.
