FOOD SANITATION ACT Wholly Amended by Act No.9432,Feb.6,2009Amended by Act No.9692,May 21,2009Act No.9932,Jan.18,2010Act No.10022,Feb.4,2010CHAPTER Ⅰ GENERAL PROVISIONSArticle 1 (Purpose) The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the improvement of national health by preventing sanitary harm caused by foods, promoting the qualitative improvement of food nutrition and giving correct information on foods.Article 2 (Definitions) The definitions of terms used in this Act shall be as follows: 1. The term "food" means all kinds of food and drinks (excluding food and drinks taken as medicine); 2. The term "food additives" means materials added to or mixed with foods or materials used for wetting foods in the processes of manufacturing, processing or preserving foods.
