THE ENERGY CONSERVATION ACT, 2001 ACT NO. 52 OF 2001 [29th September, 2001.] An Act to provide for efficient use of energy and its conservation and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act and any reference in any such provision to the commenceme t of this Act shall be construed as a reference to the coming into force of that provision. 2.
