( 8th~e1,99 8 ) The State Peace and Development Council hereby enacts the following Law: - Chzipter 1 Title arid Definition ?. Tf-11~L aw shall be called the Atomic Energy Law 2. I :?e fo!lowing expressions contained in this l-as~ha ll have the meanings given hereunder : - (a) Atomic Energy means energy obtained from any process involving the nucleus which is the inner part of an atom; (5) Muclear Material means uranium or plutonium from which atomic energy can be obtained. f he said expression also includes ma'terial determined by the Council by notification as nuclear material ; (c) Radioactive Material means any materfa1 wwhh emits any type of smaller particles from the rlucleus of an atom or gamma-ray or xray which are electromagnetic waves of short wavelength, in excess of the level prescribed by the Council.
