The Law on Fisheries shall regulate the relations arising in the areas of fishing, aqualculture, processing and marketing of fish. 2. The objective of this Law is to ensure sustainable fishing, protection of fish resources and their restocking, fishing control, with account of the ecological conditions, economy of fisheries and the interests of the fishermen, fish producers, processors and consumers. 3. The provisions of this Law shall apply on the land territory of the Republic of Lithuania, its internal waters, territorial sea, and the exclusive economic zone; on board the fishing vessels - the provisions shall apply in all waters.
