(1) These rules may be called the BurmaWild Life Protection Rules, 1941.(2) They shall come into force on the 11thJanuary 1941.2. In these rules unless there is anythingrepugnant in the subject or context:(1) “unprotected animals” mean all animalsnot falling under sections 6 and 7 of the Act. (2) “resident” includes any person who notbeing a native of Burma, has satisfied the officer issuing licence that he isemployed in or in otherwise a bona fide resident of British Burma.(3) “non-resident” includes any one not anative of Burma and any one not included under Rule 2 (2).
