REPUBLIC OF BULGARIANATIONAL ASSEMBLYBIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY ACTPromulgated, State Gazette No. 77/9.08.2002Chapter OneGENERAL DISPOSITIONSArticle 1(1) This Act regulates the relations among the State, the municipalities, and the juristic and natural persons in respect of the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity in the Republic of Bulgaria.(2) "Biological diversity" means the variety of all living organisms in all forms of their natural organization, the natural communities and habitats thereof, of the ecosystems and the processes occurring therein.(3) Biological diversity is an integral part of national wealth, and the conservation thereof is a priority and obligation of central-government and municipal authorities and citizens.Article 2This Act shall have the following purposes:1. conservation of natural habitat types representative of the Republic of Bulgaria and of Europe and habitats of endangered, rare and endemic plant and animal species within ...
