S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2008 No. 2694 LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND The Sustainable Communities Regulations 2008 Made - - - - 9th October 2008 Laid before Parliament 13th October 2008 Coming into force - - 3rd November 2008 The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Sustainable Communities Act 2007(a) and after having consulted— (a) the selector(b), and (b) such other persons who represent the interests of local authorities as the Secretary of State thinks fit, in accordance with section 5(2) of that Act: PART 1 General Citation, commencement and application 1. These Regulations— (a) may be cited as the Sustainable Communities Regulations 2008, (b) come into force on 3rd November 2008, and (c) apply in relation to England only. Interpretation 2.
