S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2008 No. 2872 LAND REGISTRATION, ENGLAND AND WALES The Land Registration Act 2002 (Amendment) Order 2008 Made - - - - 6th November 2008 Laid before Parliament 10th November 2008 Coming into force - - 6th April 2009 The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5(1) of the Land Registration Act 2002(a). In accordance with section 5(4) of that Act, he has consulted such persons as he considers appropriate. Citation, commencement and interpretation 1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Land Registration Act 2002 (Amendment) Order 2008 and shall come into force on 6 April 2009. (2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Land Registration Act 2002. Amendment of section 4 of the Act 2.—(1) In section 4 of the Act (when title must be registered), subsection (1) is amended as follows.
