S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2009 No. 1259 CLIMATE CHANGE The Carbon Budgets Order 2009 Made - - - - 20th May 2009 Coming into force in accordance with article 1 A draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament, in accordance with sections 8(3) and 91(1) of the Climate Change Act 2008 (“the Act”)(a). Before the draft was so laid, the Secretary of State took into account— (a) the advice of the Committee on Climate Change under section 34 of the Act, in accordance with section 9(1)(a) of the Act; and (b) any representations made by the Scottish Ministers, the Welsh Ministers and the Department of the Environment in Northern Ireland, in accordance with section 9(1)(b) of the Act(b).
