S T A T U T O R Y I N S T R U M E N T S 2006 No. 1846 CUSTOMS The Export of Radioactive Sources (Control) Order 2006 Made - - - - 7th July 2006 Laid before Parliament 12th July 2006 Coming into force - - 1st October 2006 In accordance with paragraph 2(1) of the Schedule to the Export Control Act 2002(a), export controls may be imposed under that Act in relation to any goods the exportation or use of which is capable of having a relevant consequence. The Secretary of State has determined in accordance with paragraph 3(3) of that Schedule that an activity involving the goods controlled by the following Order is capable of having a relevant consequence, namely of leading to the carrying out anywhere in the world of (or of acts which facilitate) acts of terrorism or serious crime anywhere in the world.
