NB: Unofficial translation; legally binding texts are those in Finnish and Swedish Ministry of the Environment, Finland No. 1071 GOVERNMENT DECISION ON RESTRICTING THE USE OF PCBs AND PCTs November 30, 1989 Section 1 Definitions For the purposes of this Decision: 1) PCBs refers to polychlorinated biphenyls and preparations with more than 50 mg/kg of polychlorinated biphenyls; and 2) PCTs refers to polychlorinated terphenyls and preparations with more than 50 mg/kg of polychlorinated terphenyls. Section 2 Scope of application This Decision does not apply to the use of PCBs and PCTs for research purposes or the transport of PCBs, PCTs or products containing them through Finnish territory. PCB and PCT waste is also outside the scope of this Decision. Section 3 Restrictions PCBs, PCTs or products containing them may not be produced, imported, sold or transferred.
